Well this is the week we've all been waiting for. Corvettes at
Carlisle!! As most of you know this event is one of the largest Corvette
gatherings in the world. Everything and anything that is Corvette
related will be at this event. Hundreds of vendors and thousands of
Corvette enthusiast's will be attending including Corvette Club members
from all over the United States and even some from other countries. I
think it would be a great idea if all our members wore our new KSCC name
tags. These are great looking and free to all members. If you don't have
one of these tag's and the red lanyards attached to the tag and are
going to be attending Carlisle just let me know and I'll bring your tag
with me. I'll either be at our club site or at the
East Coast Supercharging tent where my Corvette will be on
display. For those of you who are not familiar with the club site, KSCC
has vendor spaces IB25 to IB33. If you are sitting in the grand stands
IB would be to the lef t of the stands. We will be selling raffle
tickets and have the bright Atomic Orange 09 Corvette raffle car on
display so you won't be able to miss us. Stop by and say hello, take a
rest, have a cold one and enjoy the day.

August 13, 2008 Red & White Corvettes needed for American flag display at Carlisle Hi everyone - Good news! We’ve tightened the parking spaces on the Corvette Flag, in order to achieve a better aerial photo. Of course this changes the dimensions, so to keep the proper flag shape I am adding an extra car to the end of each red stripe and each white stripe (7 additional red Corvettes and 6 additional white Corvettes). (FYI: Parking spaces will be 16’ x 8’. A standard space is 20’ x 9’.) This means that everyone on the red and white standby lists is now in the flag! In addition to those already on the standby list, I will still need 3 (bright) red Corvettes and 5 white. If you have any friends who are interested, please have them contact me ASAP! If you have any questions, send an email or give me a call. See you soon! - Jenn
August 12, 2008 Pictures from Corvettes for Kids posted to Photo Album July 9, 2008 BBQ photo's posted. See photo album. July 6, 2008 Great BBQ at Ken's yesterday. Thanks Ken & Jo. Pictures will be posted in a couple days. Latest meeting minutes are posted in Members only section. July 4, 2008 New Yahoo KeystoneStateCorvetteClub group started. We started a forum where we could ask questions and discuss issues effecting the club or Corvettes in general. An invitation was sent out to members. Please join and give it a try. Use the menu button on the left or the link below. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/KeystoneStateCorvetteClub/ June 21, 2008
KSCC,
Well if you missed this one you missed a good one. This was
CCDV's 50th anniversary and they put on quite a
show. Over 150 Corvettes. Representing KSCC were Gary and Jennifer Hoopes,
Russ Muceli, Randy Hofer, Tom and Mary Ann Neilson, Don Macleod, and myself.
Every participant got a beautiful slate tribute award to CCDV's 50 year's as a
club. Randy Hofer took home one of the top Sponsor Awards, I took Best Engine
and KSCC took "Best Club Participation". Way to go KSCC-second year in a row.
We got $100.00 and Randy suggested we pick up a 10x10 canopy to take to the
many events that KSCC participates and put's on. Enjoy the pic's compliments
of Ron Hoopes. If anyone has any others-please send to Greg so he can post
what he can. Great day, great friends, a very nice event.
Thanks,
Ken

May 21, 2008 May 18, 2008 Ambler 12 annual auto show Approximately 200 vehicles participated even though it rained and sometimes poured at times. They had a DJ and downtown Ambler was full of all types of cars. Tom Neilson brought his ZR-1 anyway .... Mike Custer also attended from KSCC and a few corvettes were from Delaware Valley Corvette Club. There were more mustangs and muscle cars though. See photo's in the photo albumn. May 17, 2008 Reedman's auto show KSCC,
Well the weather was not suppose to cooperate but it turned out to be
a beautiful day for a Corvette Show. Reedman's had a good 100 Corvette's
show up from a number of clubs in and out of the area. KSCC was well
represented with 5 Club members making the journey. Bob Zarilli had his
yellow 73 'vert there. Don MacLeod had his 98 vert with new seat covers.
Randy Hofer had his radical custom 65 ground pounder and Ron Hoopes
brought his very clean 99cpe with his brand new shoes. Chrome Cray's
with BF Goodrich tread and I drove my '00 beater. There were 3 different
classes two in judged and one non-judged but all had some of the nicest
Corvettes around.
Randy with his first show out took home a "bronze eagle" a Liberty
trade mark. Ron took home another first and I took home a first and the
"Sponsors Choice" award. KSCC did real good with 4 awards. A very nice
day indeed and the Penske Show picked up another sponsor to boot-USA
Auto Supply.
Thanks,
Ken

KSCC,
Attached is our latest membership list. May 2008. Thanks Mary Ann
Neilson for your help. Just a reminder that this Saturday May 10th is
our first KSCC cruise at Ron's. We plan to meet at the far lot. I've
also included a list of those who will be displaying their Corvette's at
next months 32 Annual KSCC all Corvette Show at David Penske Chevrolet.
We have around 20 pre-registered Corvettes so as usual we will be
depending on members to participate. Last year including club cars we
had close to 100 Corvettes. This year it would be nice to break that
mark. Also this year we are awarding five KSCC Top 5 Pick Awards. Hope
to see you there-it should be a good show. .......If you were not at the
meeting but want to join us with your Corvette please email me back so
we can have your window plaque made up and ready to go.
Thanks,
Ken
May minutes and new membership list in Members only section. Please note that you can also use the on-line registration for the Penske Show. Greg May 4, 2008
KSCC,
Thought you might want to see a few pic's of the Thomas Show. We had
4 KSCC cars representing our club plus a good number of our members came
to the show to browse and keep the rest of us company. It was
appreciated. There were 70 some Corvettes. Not bad for a show that was
suppose to be a washout. Bob Z. took a first place with his very nice 73
and I took a Best of Show. We also signed up 4 Corvettes for our Penske
Show next month. See you Tuesday.

the meeting. This is Rott's N Vette's N Rods (hey I'm not making this up)
Car Show at the Kimberton Fairgrounds the next day-Sunday April 20th 9-3.
This is a great show with some very nice Corvettes and Hot Rods. Last year

shoot the breeze and take in the show. Greg ha s posted this event on our
calander of events along with the flyer-thanks for picking up on this
event Greg. Check it out and I hope to see you at both events.
